The holiday season is full of reasons for good cheer, but the added demands of the season can also stress the capacities of our bodies. In an effort to promote health and wellness during the holidays, ACA is offering the “12 Days of Health and Wellness” campaign. Each of the
12 days will focus on a different aspect of handling the holidays in a healthy, happy way.

To get you started, Day 1 is “Don’t Overload on Holiday Treats.” Holiday parties and family get-togethers usually include cookies and festive desserts. You don’t have to avoid the holiday treats, just don’t over do it. Remember to eat a balanced diet even during the holidays.

Day 2, “Make Time for Exercise,” emphasizes the importance of preparing your body for the frenzy of activities that accompany the holidays. Moderate exercise, such as a brisk walk, can be a great way to gear up for the season’s hectic schedules.

Keep Your Feet Pain-Free for the Holidays” is the focus of Day 3, and ACA recommends finding the right pair of shoes for all of the running around you’re sure to do during the holidays. You can still be fashionable in comfortable shoes, and your feet are sure to thank you.
